I'm looking for a DVD to an old 1951 Movie called (The Mob: Remember That Face)
I've only been able to find a spanish version from Spain. Is there a place where I can go to find DVD's for old or rare films?

This is the one I found but it does me no good, due to the region and language.
Spanish DVD - The Mob

Here is the film on IMDB:
The Mob: Remember That Face

Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I can tell, that is the only release that film has had in any country.  The specs say that it has an english track on it.  So I guess if you want to get it, you need a region free player.  What kind of DVD player do you have.  Some can be made region free pretty easily.  IF yours isnt, you can get one at target or off of Amazon for less than $50 that can be made region free.  When I got my first one, I went into target, wrote down the cheap models of players they had and then went home and googled region free dvd player hack.  I found one that could be done easily with a remote code and that was that.  Now since it was a cheap one it crapped out in 8 months.

Also, you probably have the option of changing the region on your computer dvd player.  IT probably wont let you make it region free though.  Most have a set number of changes you can do.  Like you can change it 5 times, but on the 6th one you better change it to the one you want to keep because it will accept no more after that.  But it would probably give you the option of ripping the dvd and then reburning it as a region 0 copy.

Hmm. Well I use a panasonic Blu-Ray player. Not sure what model but it was around $500 back a year or so ago. I also mainly like to watch DVD's or film commentary/special features while I'm working. I have several screens set up so I can use one to watch stuff and listen to get inspired while I work. Although I've been doing more poster "Research" as I like to call it than I have film Research or work as of late.

I may just buy that dvd and then try and figure out what option is best to view it. Yes, on my computer it gives me 5 chances to change region codes, both on my desktop and my laptop. I'm wondering if there is a program I can download for mac and run it while I watch the DVD to bypass the region code. There seems to be a hack for everything these days.

I doubt you can hack your mac dvd player that way.  i dont think there are any like that for pc, and those kind of components are universal.  they are either region free or they arent.

If you have a blu-ray player, then chances are it cant be hacked (without mailing it somewhere).  There are 2 of them out there.  One is an off brand from Korea I believe, and it comes region free.  The other is the Oppo player, and it has a region free firmware (user written) that can be downloaded.  Sony is very particular about who they give license to sell BD players, and one of the criteria is that it cannot be region free and the company cannot offer any menus or players that make it region free.  I would say your best option is to buy it, change the region on your mac player and rip the disc.
