So me and the good lady headed off to opening night for Transformers 2 ... and I'm still a little undecided to be honest.

The Transformers are cracking and the effects are top bombing, but as a whole it just doesn't hold together. It seems to be a collection of memorable bits rather than a great story... I'll still get it when its out on DVD but not sure about whether I'll go take my 6 year old to see this at the cinema.

Any one else seen it yet ?

Hi Wrigz, thinking about going this weekend, sometimes films like this are only good for the special effects, got that in my mind so won't be disapointed if the story is cack, cheers for the review mate!

Hi Bay may have the skills to deliver thrills, and he certainly has the audacity to spend hundreds of millions of dollars providing audiences with megawatt instant gratification. But he doesn't have the smarts to make something that sticks in the memory.
